Langness Lighthouse and Peninsular The property is a few minutes drive from the Island's Airport (Ronaldsway) and Castletown, the Ancient Capital of Man
(see
location map). It is situated on a narrow peninsular
stretching into the Irish Sea. Delightful coves, arches, pillars, pinnacles and rock pools surround this area of wilderness and outstanding natural beauty. It is very well known for its wildlife,
especially birds and seals, which are often spotted from the Lighthouse harbour and beyond. A reef called the Skerrances lies concealed here and has claimed many lives, notably the Provider, a schooner
which perished in 1853.
